Administer Intellectual Property matters in Lao PDR. Encourage and promote inventiveness and creativity. Co-operate with international organisations and other countries in the field of IP. Draft laws and regulations on IPR to ensure the protection of the rights of legal owners and consumers. Implement laws through IP registration and enforcement of regulations. Increase Public Awareness of IP issues through organisation of events. Disseminate IPR information and status at public and educational institutions (e.g. Police academy, National University of Laos, Faculty of Law, Customs Department).
